I am younger than 25 will I still be able to drive one of your horseboxes.
We can sometimes insure younger drivers with at least
4 years experience and a clean driving licence usually there will be a small fee to pay.
2: Can I have more than 1 driver.
Yes we can add 1 additional driver for no extra cost.
3: I passed my test after 1997 can I still drive the lorry
Yes you can
our lorries are mainly 3.5 tonn therfor there are no restrictions and no need to take any additional
test.However if you wish to hire our Super Sonic you will need to hold a c1 category on your licence.
4 Will the lorry carry
a 17.2
Yes the lorries will carry even up to 18hh but are restricted on weight they have a max carrying capacity of
up to 1050kg for the Sonic and 1450kg for the Super Sonic Most big horses ie 16.2 THoroughbred will weigh from approx
500kg
5 My horse is not a good traveller in a trailer will he travel better in a box.
Because
all of our lorries are rear facing this has been proven to aid more Comfortable stress free travelling.It
is worth noting that our horseboxes have been chosen because of
their safety features, most 2 stall
boxes allow the horses heads to look over into the living area, this is not the case with our horseboxes and the living
is completley seperate which means if a horse were to get upset it would not be able to rear up and get
stuck in the livig area ( see Horse and hound report 29/10/09) in additon our horseboxes have
full long low ramps not split ramps and have loading doors , if you look at many other manufacturers
this is not always the case.
6 Are there any hidden charges ?.
For a 1 day hire
the price starts at £99.00, this includes full insurance cover ,Equestrian Support Services Breakdown
cover and we send the lorry out with a full tank of deisel, we ask that the tank is returned full.
7 When can I pick up the lorry / trailer as I have an early start
Wherever possible we allow you to
pick up the lorry/ trailer the evening before ,we therefor ask that if you are likely to be any later than 8pm that we are
made aware at the time of booking so that we can give the the next customers a realistic pick up time particularly in the
summer when all lorries are out..
8 Are your horseboxes suitable for carrying mares
and foals.
Because we have one of the largest horsebox hire fleets we are lucky enough to have a horsebox
especially adapted to carry mare and foal or just a foal on its own in a safe enviroment, the horsebox has a full breast
screen instead of a breast bar and by taking out the partition the horse area is just
the same as a stable, we simply bed the horsebox to make it comfortable for the horses journey this horsebox is equally as
ideal to carry stallions as we have a full height partiton .
9. I am unable to keep
my booking will I loose my deposit ?
We understand particularly with horses that things can go wrong at the last minute, therefor
as part of being fully flexible we allow you to carry your deposit over to another date this must be redeemed within 6 months. All
cancellations must be made within 7 days in order to carry over your deposit.
